Client Review
We will provide the Client with an opportunity to review the appearance and content of the website during the design phase and once the overall website development is completed. At the completion of the project, such materials will be deemed to be accepted and approved unless the Client notifies Kingcom Holdings Pty. Ltd otherwise within ten (10) days of the date the materials are made available to the Client.
Turnaround Time and Content Control
Kingcom Holdings Pty Ltd will install and publicly post or supply the Client’s website by the date specified in the project proposal, or at date agreed with the client upon Kingcom Holdings Pty Ltd receiving initial payment, unless a delay is specifically requested by the Client and agreed by Kingcom Holdings Pty Ltd.
In return, the Client agrees to delegate a single individual as a primary contact to Kingcom Holdings Pty Ltd with progressing the commission in a satisfactory and expedient manner.
During the project, Kingcom Holdings Pty Ltd will require the Client to provide website content; text, images, videos, audio files and other resources
The client should allow Kingcom Holdings Pty Ltd a reasonable period to access all content and make the necessary changes.
Failure to provide the required website content:
Kingcom Holdings Pty Ltd is, schedules work to remain efficient and on time and requires the client to provide all necessary information in advance. On any occasion where progress cannot be made with your website because we have not been given the required information in the agreed time frame, and we are delayed as result, we reserve the right to impose a surcharge of up to 25%.
If you agree to provide us with the required information and subsequently fail to do within one week of project commencement we reserve the right to close the project and the balance remaining becomes payable immediately.
Content
Text content should be delivered in as a Microsoft Word, email (or similar) document with the pages in the supplied document representing the content of the relevant pages on your website. These pages should have the same titles as the agreed website pages.
Images should be emailed in high resolution suitable for web content.
We do not accept images to be delivered over mobile social media platforms such as WhatsApp as this often reduces the size & quality of the image.
Client agrees that an HTML page created from a graphic illustration may not exactly match the original design due to the difference between graphic design software and the rendering of HTML code by an internet browser. Kingcom Holdings Pty Ltd. agrees to try to match the design as closely as is possible when building the code.
Payment
KingCom requires full payment before commencement for projects under the value $150 or the ZAR equivalent at the time of order unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Larger projects are broken into phases or project components, an agreed deposit or will be required before commencement then each phase or component.
Phases
Phases are projects split into stages for example in a website design project,
- 50% deposit before commencement phase 1 – landing/home page complete with menu item
- 25% payment at the end of phase 1 and the beginning of phase 2 – all menu items and pages inserted and ready for review
- 25% before completion of the project and going live.
Components
Components are smaller projects required as part/s of a larger project. These could include services like logo design, content services, consulting and planning. Each component service should be settled when it reaches its end even though it may be required as part of a phase or another project. Component projects are signed off and delivered independently and should not be used as leverage with respect to payment to any other project.
Example scenario
Branding, Content & Website Design Project
This project will have multiple phases and components (sub-projects) for example
- Logo Design
- Content Creation
- Website Design
Not all these projects will be completed at the same rate so the logo design will be completed 1st, then followed by the Content Creation and finally the website design.
